The Lord says ‘I am the vine, you are the branches.’ That is how the Lord wants us to think of the life of grace. Jesus is the head of the body, we are his members. There is a distinction, but there is one common life. You and I are branches on the vine of Jesus Christ. You and I can say His life is mine, by the gift of His grace.
