Control the vibes — Loyd Star softball coach John Smith and Lady Hornets Maddie Kate Britt, Abi Holcomb, Layla Burt, Kaylin Hester and Kenzie Kay Lofton, live at the Fit Life Sports Plex

On this wee's Corner Blitz Podcast, we check in with one of the area's best softball teams as they get ready to launch into the playoffs. Loyd Star Lady Hornets coach John Smith brings half the lineup to the program, with sophomores Maddie Kate Britt, Abi Holcomb, Layla Burt and Kaylin Hester, and freshman Kenzie Kay Lofton. Another year, another Region 7-2A title, another No. 1 seed for the Lady Hornets. Benji Embry wanders back to work from his JUCO duties, and he and Adam Northam discuss Southwest Mississippi's MHSAA softball and baseabll playoff matchups, Nico IMALAYVALUAHO (I think) taking a big paycut and losing his job with Tennessee for trying to play hardball, and wonder how 20 million people could watch golf on TV.  Manuel Scott takes great photos. Andrew Nations controls the noise. The Corner Blitz is a product of Southwest Media Group.
