Controlling the Tongue

Words are never small. In this solemn message from James 3, Dr. Michael Youssef warns that the tongue carries the power to build up or destroy. Gossip, lies, harsh tones, and careless words can wound people deeply and damage the witness of the Gospel. Scripture is clear: no person can tame the tongue by human willpower alone. But the Holy Spirit can rule the heart—and when He rules the heart, He transforms the speech. This episode calls believers to: Repent of careless, cutting, or dishonest words, Stop excusing gossip and destructive speech, Submit the heart fully to Jesus Christ, Let the Holy Spirit make the tongue an instrument of Truth, healing, and praise.
