The recent shutdown of the government has created a lot of conversation about what people call "healthcare". The reality is different than what you want it to be. "Healthcare" costs a lot of money, and it's not actually improving health most of the time. We provide some simple data to explain the premise. We are intimately aware that access to care has saved lives, but we can't miss the forest for the trees.
