Conversation with a true warrior and one of our greatest Canadian boxers: Jelena Mrdjenovich

Jelena Mrdjenovich is one of a kind. She is an amazing athete and opened so many doors in boxing for canadian women. Weirdly, she is more known outside Canada than in her own country. After a long inactivity, Jelena is coming back to action next June 8th vs Calista Silgado on a Golden Boy show in the US. I contacted her to get some fresh news, to talk about the difficult years she went through, and what are her next goals. We took time to pay tribute to her late coach Milan Lubovac, who was there since the very beginning of her boxing journey until two years ago, we talked about aging fine, about depression, about the evolution of women's boxing, about training with Tyson Fury, and about her new coach SugarHill Steward.
