Conversation with Carla Gomes

Let's dive a bit in the past, in the 2024., from when we owe you couple of talks with amazing artists that were also a part of our festival.One of them is Carla Gomes, performer and creator working in the field of performing arts, with a focus on performance, theatre and one-to-one formats. I mainly work in festival contexts, museums, independent spaces and site-specific creation projects.She was present with her piece CABINE, where the spectator is invited to enter the cabin alone. Inside, they encounter someone already waiting a silent presence that invites reflection through a series of intimate questions. Can the person answer? Whatever the response, a hug awaits. This podcast is a part of One-to-One Art project, which has been awarded Creative Europe funding for the period 1 November 2023 – 30 September 2026.Project coordinator is ILME (Oulu, Finland) and partners in the project are the Gato Escaldado theatre group from Lisbon, Portugal, and the artist residency House of Klajn ran by House Collective from Klanjec, Croatia.
