Nominated for 13 Black Reel Awards, there is strong buzz that McMillan could hear her name called as the first Black woman to be nominated for an Academy Award next month. Over the past ten years, McMillian has worked on a multitude of projects in anonymity before getting her big chance with the soon-to-be Oscar nominated film.
