Conversations of the Eternal #1: Plato & The Buddha

As I continue my conversations series here on SubStack, I thought it would be a fun exercise to engage Chat GPT for a simulated discussion between these two legendary philosophical minds and traditions. This is my first attempt to use this technology and I will say I was pretty impressed with its abilities to knock out this interesting (albeit a bit surface-level) conversation. I had to prompt the modeling a bunch and really push the bot to go farther with the dialogue to even get it here which shows how much farther this technology needs to go before it is as revolutionary as its proponents claim but still, this can serve as a fun introduction to those who aren’t as familiar with these two philosophies. Plus it’s a fun exercise of imagination to simulate this type of discussion! I imagine this is actually happening in other unseen realms as we speak!
