Jackson, Tykee J. Ross, and Demel A. Dukes were each charged with the December 11, 2000, robbery of a Dollar Value Plus store in Detroit, and the shooting death of -1- its owner, Hani Zebib. They were tried jointly, before two separate juries, one for defendant Jackson and the other for defendants Ross and Dukes. All three defendants were convicted of first-degree felony murder ALL were given life.
