Secularly, Nouthetic Counseling is a form of Cognitive Behavior Therapy which employs the WORD of God to assist in most adaptively becoming COGNIZANT of facts and provide a Bible-based WORLDVIEW of REALITY from which to make LIFE DECISIONS. From a Christian perspective, Nouthetic Counseling may also best be described as having personal and intimate CONVERSATION with God, as the Counselor becomes the INSTRUMENT God employs to translate WORD conceptually into Living WORD application. And so too, JESUS CHRIST!
