Conversations with Kim: Guest Frankie Part 2 - Ep #19

from Intuitive Insights · host Kimberly Beam

Show Notes:Today we continue the conversation with Frankie who last week began sharing the story of their transition with all the ups and downs of a young adult discovering their true self. Frankie went on a guided meditation and got to experience looking at a future version of Frankie with no breast tissue.  With both trusting their intuition and not feeling comfortable in the body that they were given, Frankie decided that surgery was the way to go.  After the surgery, Frankie no longer felt body dysmorphia.  Frankie’s mind and body were now in alignment.  It was beautiful and freeing. Deciding to have the surgery done is one thing, but the next is being able to afford the surgery.  Most surgeries are not covered by insurance.  The community that Frankie was in rallied behind them and helped Frankie raise the funds.  Frankie was fortunate because not everyone has that community around them. Finding your community is important and helpful for the support.  Frankie was able to find that in the town they moved to after college but would have never had that opportunity during their teenage years due to that specific town.  If you are in an area that you cannot get support in person, there are communities and organizations online to have that support. Frankie’s dad was not supportive of the change. Frankie has a lot to say to their dad but hasn’t ever had the conversation.  Frankie goes back and forth about writing a letter to their dad, but always decides not to because they aren’t ready.  I bring up the idea of still writing the letter and then burning it to let those feelings and emotions go so that Frankie can release.  Frankie’s relationship with the church has changed, evolved and is still complicated.  Frankie was hurt by the system and the people.  Frankie is a more spiritual person now connected more to energy, the universe, and ancestors. Frankie believes that there is a current, future and past version of ourselves. There is so much power in being able to talk with your past self after overcoming something big.   It’s not an easy conversation, but you can start with “You deserved this and what you received wasn’t fair.” Thank you, Frankie, for being brave and vulnerable to share your story with us. Dont forget to  subscribe to our podcast and share it with your friends and family.
