I've been blessed to share countless people's stories over my decades-long career. But I have to say, I'm extremely grateful and honored to be able to share S.C. Representative Brandon Guffey's story with you in this episode of Conversations with Nicole. He and his family lost a child, and the circumstance surrounding his son's death has led to change in South Carolina law. His teen son, Gavin, took his life after becoming a victim of online scammers and sexual extortion. In Brandon's first year as a lawmaker, his first bill, 'Gavin's Law', passed. The law is designed to decrease the number of people who fall victim to sexual extortion, and punish those convicted of this crime. I'm extremely thankful Brandon took the time to talk with me.
