Convicted Killer Escapes Prison | Belfast News

A convicted murderer on the run: Gary Anderson, 29, escaped from a day release program at HMP Maghaberry after being moved to a maximum-security facility — a move he says tore him apart from his brother Sean, also jailed for the same 2018 murder. Described as 5’11”, slim, with brown hair, a right-hand scar, and a smiley face tattoo on his ankle, Anderson was reportedly protesting his separation while on a hunger strike, leaving him in poor health. Police are urgently seeking him, asking the public for help — and urging him to surrender before things escalate further.
