Cookies!

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever had a cicada surprise you by hitching a ride in your car? We kick off this episode with some hilarious and slightly horrifying encounters with these summer visitors. Join us as we navigate the chaos of graduation season, juggling baseball games, lessons, and the bittersweet transition to high school. We also share a collective sigh of end-of-school-year exhaustion that parents and teachers alike will find all too familiar. Plus, hear our lament over missing out on a quirky Cheez-It pop-up diner in Woodstock, NY, a nostalgic nod to one of our favorite snacks. Next, prepare for a mouth-watering discussion about all things cookies! From the joy of raw cookie dough to the history of chocolate chip cookies, our conversation is bound to make you crave a sweet treat. The episode wouldn't be complete without a shoutout to Oreos, particularly the golden variety, and a light-hearted look at how classic chocolate Oreos make us smile—literally and figuratively. We also try the limited edition Sour Patch Kid Oreo...one Nora is a fan the other is not. We wrap things up with a warm trip down memory lane, reminiscing about beloved cookies from childhood to adulthood. Whether it’s the divisive oatmeal raisin or the universally adored sugar cookies with frosting, there’s something for everyone. We also touch on the highs and lows of our week, from near-miss dog encounters to late-night parenting hiccups. With summer on the horizon and exciting plans for the next season of our podcast, we invite you to stay connected with us on social media and subscribe for more updates.
