Cooking with Angel Episode 8: Roasted Chicken, Garlic Thyme Mushrooms and Banana Tar

Welcome to episode eight of Cooking with Angel on the SND Podcast channel.  This show is designed to help new cooks feel comfortable in the kitchen and also to provide experienced chefs with quick and creative ideas they can use on various classic recipes.  In this segment, Angel teaches us how to make a delicious roasted chicken thy is perfect for a family meal or can double up for a dinner party. The side dish is garlic butter mushrooms that are quick and easy to make - yet taste amazing!! Up next? Banana tart - yum yum!  The ingredients for the chicken are Whole chicken (approx 3lb), one lemon, four sprigs of fresh rosemary, four leeks or 1 onion, two red bell peppers, two orange bell peppers and two yellow bell peppers, black olives and olive oil.  The very easy ingredients for the garlic butter mushrooms are 1 pound white button mushrooms (about 20), stems trimmed but not removed, minced garlic, butter, and thyme.  The banana tart calls for: puff pastry, granulated sugar, butter, walnuts, hazelnuts or pistachios, and 4-5 bananas.  On behalf of Cooking with Angel, we hope you enjoy these simple, but tasty recipes that are sure to please.
