Cooking with Angel Episode 9: Italian Week!

Welcome to episode nine of Cooking with Angel on the SND Podcast channel.  This show is designed to help new cooks feel comfortable in the kitchen and also to provide experienced chefs with quick and creative ideas they can use on various recipes.  In this segment, Angel demonstrates her method for making red sauce and meatballs from scratch. She also shows us a quick and simple recipe for delicious cannolis.  The ingredients for the sauce are a can of crushed tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, Oregano, Basil, Italian seasoning, Salt and pepper, onions, garlic, and Olive oil.  The ingredients for the meatballs are:  Ground meat - beef, chicken or turkey, Sausage optional, Onions, Garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, oregano, Italian bread crumbs, and an Egg.  For the cannolis, you will need ricotta cheese, dark chocolate chips, powdered sugar, puff pastry shells, whipping cream, vanilla, and ground cinnamon.  These recipes serve as a wonderful base for a spaghetti and meatballs dinner or any other Italian meat and sauce pairing.
