Coolbet to exit Ontario sports betting and igaming market, and AGCO chief Tom Mungham is retiring

The Gaming News Canada Show podcast returns from a one-week hiatus in high gear, as host Steve McAllister discussed with Kindred Group’s Amanda Brewer, Will Hill of Sightline Payments and Betano’s Kris Abbott this week’s announcement from Coolbet that the European operator won’t be renewing its Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario licence at the beginning of April, and posted its exit strategy. McAllister also asked Abbott, Hill and Brewer about the potential domino effect of Coolbet’s departure as Ontario enters Year 2 of regulated sports betting and igaming.The panel then switched gears and provided its thoughts on the news that Tom Mungham is stepping down this fall as the registrar and CEO of the AGCO.
