Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs to take measures to hold municipalities to account for poor performance

SAfm — Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs has resolved to take measures to hold municipalities to account for poor performance. This after yet another damning report from the Auditor General on the state of local government. The committee is calling all involved, ranging from municipalities, councillors, national and provincial departments as well as all other oversight bodies, to explain why the situation is not improving.
