COP 26 Special: Part 1

from The Higher Biology Podcast · host Mr Downie

Climate change is happening. COP26 in Glasgow in November will confront it. This series of podcasts - Our Dear Green Place – recognises that it’s our young people who will face the most intense impacts of climate change. Securing a greener and more resilient future for our planet will be in their hands. By talking to interviewees across the spectrum from politicians to scientists, sport stars to familiar faces from television and other media, these podcasts will explore the themes of COP26 for youngsters across Scotland, inspiring them to seek knowledge, arouse their passions and demand action. The podcasts will be hosted by Paul Downie and Doug Allan. Paul is Faculty Head of Science at Hyndland Secondary School, Glasgow. In August 2021 he became the first Scottish winner of the Royal Society of Biology Teaching Award. Doug is an award-winning wildlife and documentary cameraman who’s filmed for BBC series such as The Blue Planet, Planet Earth and Frozen Planet. In the race of our lives, we must all work together to reach net zero.  You can contact Lucienne McCallum to discuss Timstar products, support, Grants and training by emailing: e: [email protected]: https://shop.wf-education.com/science/
