Copa America 2021: Felipe Cardenas discusses the situation in Brazil, the teams that are best positioned heading into the tournament, and why so many squads have so many familiar faces

Felipe Cardenas of The Athletic returns to provide some much-needed updates on this summer's Copa America. If you missed our recent Soccer 101 explainer, you can find it here. On today's show, we get into how Brazil became the new host nation, as well as the problems that could arise from a government that still isn't taking the Covid-19 pandemic seriously. Plus, which managers are in the most secure positions and which ones are in the least, the tiers of quality when it comes to the current Conmebol pool, and the squads most likely to make deep runs this summer. There's also a pretty shocking anecdote in youth soccer in Ohio vs youth soccer in Argentina, and some positive words for Venezuela and Bolivia! Hosted on Acast.
