What is grief? It’s the emotional suffering you feel when something or someone you love is taken away. Grief is a natural response to loss, or losing a loved one. Coping with the loss of someone or something you love is one of life’s biggest challenges. Even subtle losses in life can trigger a sense of grief. Grieving is a highly individual experience; there's no right or wrong way to grieve. Inevitably, the grieving process takes time. If you’re experiencing complicated grief and the pain from your loss remains unresolved, it’s important to reach out for support and take the steps that will enable you to heal.
