My heart truly goes out to the west coast at this moment in history. Engulfed in flames and enveloped in smoke, provoking the absolutely terrifying awe of nature at its most energetic, it's a lot to take from the other side of the continent. So to process all this, I put together this episode: a meditation on fire, an offering to its potential for destruction, but also the renewal that inevitably follows in its wake. Despite the ability to harness fire powering civilizations for thousands of years, it is always humbling when moments like these remind us that we have but a small place within the ecology of this planet.
