Core 52 | Apex — THE GOLDEN RULE

Almost everyone knows the Golden Rule, often in a softened form. This study returns to the text itself, Matthew 7:7-12 , and asks why the command to do to others as you would have them do to you follows Jesus' words about a Father who gives good gifts. The connection is God's own love, generosity, grace, and mercy, extended to people who did not earn it. The rule is therefore proactive, not reactive: not repaying kindness or restraining harm, but initiating love toward those who may not deserve it, including enemies, drawing on Luke 6 and the definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13. The message closes by applying this to racial injustice and division, calling Christians to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly, since all people bear God's image.
