This message on the fall reframes Genesis 3 . The familiar reading blames Eve, but the text notes Adam was “with her” — and God's first question is not to her but to him: Adam, where are you? A question of position, not location. Charged in Genesis 2:15 to tend and guard the garden and his wife, Adam abandoned his post. The message presses men, husbands, and fathers on that same calling without diminishing the shared guilt that follows. The original sin is named as pride — the desire to be like God, mutiny against his authority, often dragging others along. Sin deceives, destroys, and is always discovered. Yet Romans 8:1 closes the arc: through Christ there is now no condemnation, and the Spirit's law brings life.
