Core 52 | Outside In — The Holy Spirit

Acts 2 is the birth of the church and the moment the Spirit, once accessible to one person one day a year through the high priest, comes to dwell in everyone who professes Christ. This message offers an introduction to a subject no sermon can exhaust. The Spirit's central job is named clearly: not to exalt himself or any gift or manifestation, but to exalt Jesus and to unify, transform, and sanctify believers. The Pentecost symbols are read carefully — wind as God's invisible power, fire as purifier and passion, tongues as actual earthly languages so sixteen nations heard the gospel. A recurring correction: you don't clean up your life before coming to Christ, then receive the Spirit; you come, and the Spirit does the purifying.
