Core 52 | Singing the Sacred — MESSIAH

This study invites listeners into the long story of Scripture and then to its central question. From the garden's fracture through the promise of Genesis 3:15 that a deliverer would crush the serpent's head, the message builds toward the term Messiah and how far it diverged from Jewish expectation. The text is Matthew 16 , where Jesus asks his disciples who people say he is, and Peter confesses him as the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Peter's later confusion, his rebuke, the sword in the garden, and his denials show a man who said the right words before he fully understood them. The resurrection becomes the final piece that makes the picture coherent. The application presses the same question on every listener: who do you say Jesus is, and will you let him walk through your circumstances with you?
