Using the language of movie cliffhangers, this message argues that Jesus is the opposite of a twist ending — God told his story from the beginning, so no one should have been surprised when the Messiah arrived. Luke 24:44 grounds it: the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms are about him. The bulk is a rapid survey of roughly twenty-five messianic prophecies — the offspring of Genesis 3:15 , the virgin birth, Bethlehem, betrayal for thirty pieces of silver, pierced hands and feet foretold in the Psalms centuries before crucifixion existed. The mathematical improbability of one man fulfilling even a handful underscores the point. The pastoral turn from Colossians 1:16 : if the whole of Scripture is for Christ, and we were created for him, life only makes sense when our story points to him too.
