Core 52 | So That You May Believe — LOVE

The greatest command joins loving God and loving neighbor as yourself — and this message argues that the third clause is the one most often skipped. Anchored in John 15 and the image of the branch grafted into the vine, it asks how a person learns to see themselves as fearfully made when identity is increasingly shaped by screens and online approval. From there it turns to the example of Jesus. Love is not passive but active, reclining at the table with tax collectors and carrying the cross; love keeps no record of wrongs, holding patient and kind even under flogging and mockery, as 1 Corinthians 13 describes. The application is to live above reproach — in language, as a neighbor, online, and in faithful service — recognizing that grace is opposed not to effort but to earning.
