Send us Fan MailCornbread & Buttermilk recall July 4th’s of the past.  They discuss the special meaning of the celebration, and why we celebrate with fireworks, parades, and food.  They call attention to the South’s contribution in winning our countries freedom from British rule, and taxation without representation.  Cornbread recalls the Swamp Fox, South Carolina’s original gorilla warfare General who drove the Red Coat insane, and disappeared into the Low Country Swamps.  We salute our countries Southern forefathers, Washington, Jefferson, and Madison, all great contributors  to the freedom that Americans enjoy today.  As they each took part in the creation of the U.S. Constitution.  It is the wisdom of these men, and the courage of those who served under them that we celebrate on July 4th.  Now, on to the food, parades and Bar-B-Q.  Cornbread reviews Ellijay Georgia’s Holt’s ACE Hardware, at 305 S.
