In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour. This is your host Raven.

This is Chad. This is Drake. And this is Abbott. So we have to apologize.

Doc is on vacation. He's in lava hot springs. And he's ready. He's definitely earned it.

I know. And I said you got to go to the haunted hotel and he says his kids weren't really down for that. So hot springs, the resort itself is very haunted. Oh, absolutely.

Yeah. I hope he has the opportunity to investigate. But if he's got family along, I suspect he doesn't. And then Jess is unable to come podcast with us tonight.

She wasn't feeling very good today. So we'll be feeling better. Jess, come on back. So business.

Okay, we are in the process of trying to come up with an investigation for in the January 1st part of February. That's still in the work. So stay tuned. We'll have that up on our website soon.

Yeah, we have. Happy to. Happy to everybody. We're in jail right now.

Have fun this year. Absolutely. 2023 went by too fast. Right.

I'm pretty sure that it was Halloween just like two weeks ago. Drake, the older you get, the faster the years go by. I'm sorry to tell you that, right, Chad? Oh, I'm sorry.

He started figuring that out. I had this conversation with my son. He just turned 24. And I said, I remember when I was little, like five, six years old and asking my mom when Sesame Street was on and she told me it will be on a half an hour.

And that might as well have been a hundred years. I know a geological age. Right. I remember thinking a half an hour.

I know. An hour like six months. Oh, that's like three days. Oh, no, right.

Exactly. And unless you're thinking in terms of school, I just started spring semester today, which is weird because it's like 22 degrees outside, but whatever. Oh, stop with the school. Oh my God.

That was 45 years ago. I don't want to talk about that. This is going to be the longest four months ever. Is this the last before you graduate?

No, I have a whole other year after this. I'll hold other. That's okay. But only like two more classes.

Yeah. Well, I only have four classes told left to graduate, but three of those are the language and you can't speak up the language. Even back then, you know, four decades ago, I hated that one. The class you need.

Oh, guess what? Eight months or nine months or 10 months for it. Well, the stressful thing about the Arabic is if I don't pass a semester, I literally have to wait an entire year to retake the class. So that's why it's so stressful.

Good thing you're so young. Oh, yeah. We'll go with that. I don't want to talk about that.

It's been nine since I graduated high school and eight since I got my degree. It is. This will be 36 years since I graduated high school. I haven't been back.

I went back to school in 2005 to get certified on 3D design software, which is the same, you know, solid works. It's the same design software that NASA uses and older contractors. And, you know, it normally takes people, you know, one semester to get qualified on that. It took me two semesters because I was working full time and traveling to, you know, North Ogden from my office every, you know, once a week, most people spend an hour every day in the lab and I would go once a week and spend six hours in the lab.

Oh, wow. You know, yeah, but I did it. So, yeah, you know, it's definitely, you know, the older you get, the harder school becomes, but you're not old yet. So it's still easier for you.

Yeah, we'll go with that. You know, there are days I come back. Okay, back to go stuff. We also, I also scheduled recording this podcast the exact same time as the National Football Championship Games.

So, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. The little angsty to get back into the game. We can record it. It's not a big deal.

But I don't care. My team's out since for a while. Going back to the business, we have three venues, which we are very interested in. It's just a matter of making some phone calls.

So we will get that done here in a couple days. Hopefully, by the time you hear this, we should have things in the works and get that posted on the you know, I hate to say it, but investing in the paranormal has become more and more popular in the last 10 years or so. I mean, there's more people doing it, but it's opened up a lot more venues that most of us just didn't know about before. It really has.

And we're actually, one of the things in 2024 is sadly, some of the venues that we love, like Family Tree have closed down and are no longer accessible. The hub. The hub. You don't have any update on the Family Tree.

Actually, I kind of do. So we don't have that. You can't drop that bomb and then not give us anything to what you got. So my son actually moved to Santa Quint, which is where the Family Tree is.

And we went down to see his new house today and we drove past it. And it doesn't look any different about a year ago. And I thought I had lost the ladies info that owns it, but I was cleaning out my desk over the Christmas break and I found it. So my news is that I'm going to contact her and see if we can get back in there.

Wow, that is incredible news. So anyway, 2020. You heard her first year on the Supernatural Hour folks. Your fingers crossed.

2024. First people to get back into Leslie's Family Tree under the new ownership. So 2024 for us is we are looking at probably a half dozen new venues or so that we're going to attempt to get into. Yeah, oh, that's so awesome.

Some of them are some of them are ones we've been to before, but not for a very, very long time. Some are completely new venues. So kind of look forward to that. Yeah, even if it's a venue, I mean, I've been to several of these multiple times, but every time it's a different experience.

Oh, absolutely. Even Family Tree. Family Tree was always crazy, crazy active. And every time you went, just the craziest things happened.

But there was one time, I probably have been there a dozen times. There was once when we went, where I was like, it was just better than hell. And after about half an hour, I'm like, I'm ready to go home, because there's nothing going on. So you don't know.

Yeah, that reminds me of when we were at Petitini at the end of October last fall. Yeah, your group got nothing. And mine was just happened. Yeah, we were the two groups were the exact opposite.

One of us got nothing for the first half and one of us got nothing for the second half. Yeah, mine was nothing for the second half. The first half. We were getting lights turning off and on by spirits.

We were getting all sorts of stuff. And then by the end of the night, it's like, yeah, nothing. Yeah, the arch was exactly the opposite. We got nothing at first.

And then I think as soon as they got bored with you guys, they came to us and started, you know, interacting with us. I kept getting all the Type 3's kept messing with my group. Well, again, it's because you're you. You're a Type 3 minute.

Yeah. OK, I'm glad you're around because if you're around, they won't come bother me. Jakes like banks and. Yeah, we call you Drake.

Bait, bait. Type 3, baby. Type 3, baby. You're experienced bait.

Yep, that's OK. There we go. There we go. As far as residential, we have not had any.

And that being said, it's Christmas time. People don't want, you know, that's just so busy. We rarely have residential in December. That being said, my mom wants us to come to her house.

We actually had something scheduled with her. And then she decided her house wasn't going to come over. Yeah, so my mom's house is never a mess. Never, never, never.

So that means she probably had a newspaper sitting in the middle of the living room floor or something. So we're going to get her to get her to get her house. Is this how she grew up in? Yes.

Wow. So you know a lot about this location. Yeah, OK. You know everything about this location.

Let me let me just fill you guys in on this. So my parents built and moved into this house when I was eight. So they're from eight to 18. I never really had any activity growing up.

That being said, I was a little oblivious and just kind of hit. I was kind of one of those nerdy school kids that just loved coming home and doing my homework. You're still nerdy, but that's a very, very love you. So I wasn't.

So and I would spend most of my time upstairs and most of the activity happened downstairs. But my youngest little brother would tell my mom, the other two ghosts down here. And she never believed him. I don't know if Castle saw anything in the house that we grew up in.

We both saw stuff in our great aunt's house. She would tend us often. But we never saw anything in our house. But my youngest little brother did.

And my mom just kind of thought that he was nuts. But the grandkids will say grandmothers a ghost in the house. I guess who she calls her older ghostbuster children to come figure it out. So we have slowly she didn't leave in ghost hunting at first and thought that we were going to hell.

But then the grandkids started saying that your house was haunted and suddenly we're cool again. So yeah, she listens to the grandkids, but not her own children. So there's that. So the story, which we will have to fill you in later when she lets us come over to our clean house, which I can tell you right now.

It's already clean. This will be a subject for a future podcast. It will be entitled Raven's Childhood Hall. Right.

You can see pictures of me as a youngster hanging on the walls. I'm so excited for that. I had the whole 80s big hair going on. No, so what my mom said is one of her grandkids wasn't feeling very good.

And came over to her house and just was asleep on the couch. My mom had gone out to run a couple of errands. And when she got back, my niece said, grandma could hardly sleep. There's so much noise going on.

And there was nobody home. And my parents don't really live in a terribly noisy part of town. And so my mom said, what kind of noise is my niece described into her? And she says, yeah, my mom said that since all of December, she's kind of in hearing bangs.

And like, yeah, if there's a picture and you pull the picture away from the wall and let it fall back, it kind of hits the wall. Kind of like a bad kind of sound. They're the older part of town, right? It's been there since I in your days, right?

Oh, yeah. If you know where Petini is, you just literally, literally you go straight east to blocks. And you go down the hill that Petini's at the top of. So OK, well, Paison isn't that huge.

You can walk 20 minutes in any direction and you're out of town. No, but she literally lives. My parents literally live straight east to blocks of Petini. So I'm sure there's just tons of old pioneer history and native history and all kinds of stuff on the land, just to begin with.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. And is there a cemetery? Very close.

Yeah. So if you go to my parents house and go directly north, about three blocks, there's a cemetery. There you go. So yeah.

There you go. We also have a gal is going to call us from Moroni, which is a bit of an hour and a half from here. Yeah. So that'll be a little mini road trip in a way.

But so we've got two residential in the works. Cool. Can't wait. OK, the business and residential has been brought to you by Castle Photo Studios.

So contact Castle for all your photo needs. You can go out to our web page, eventspairnormal.com, and click the links there for him and our other friends of events Pairnormal that have links out there. I've got some new paranormal digs. I need him to get some pics of me because I look so good.

Yeah. Well, we'll figure out a day we can all go and get him to go. Just me. Just me.

I don't know. Well, he'll do separate shots of all of us. If you want to do your own gig, that's fine. OK.

Where's the chat? Yeah. And just go out to our website, eventspairnormal.com. We've got merchandise out there, things you can get.

Moons, husbands, got the beanies that he's been working on, get through there. And we will get pictures up. They're not pictures up as we record this because Raven, stupid Raven, didn't send chat the pictures to put up. So that's a hurt issue.

The new beanies look really good, though. They're somebody. They're the new hot item, everybody. So get it now.

It is super cold. So I'm going to be wearing my Wednesday. Yeah, I don't want to talk about how cold it is. Thank you.

Well, it's warmer than it was going to be. You know, I have to say, Drake once told me that he was chilled to the bone. And I said, you've got to wear a hat, bro. Yeah, you do.

I know where you can get a really cool beanie. Yes, I like. All right. Exactly.

Are we ready to do our main topic? Yes, we're ready. Can our main topic is brought to you by Oteos. And I actually took two of my friends there.

How did that go? I saw that on Facebook. That's so what they look delicious. I was thinking, why am I not there?

It was so good because it was a girl's day. I didn't get invited. I could be an honorary girl. I really could.

Yeah, it is so good. I get the same thing every time I go. It's amazing every time. So our main topic, I need to explain to you a little bit about our main topics.

You know, someone will send me something. We get a lot of input from listeners and friends and neighbors. So thank you. If there's something you want to hear and we haven't done, tell me if there's something that we've done, but haven't done it for a long time and you want to hear a revamp, we're open to that too.

But sometimes when I get a few minutes, I'll just sit down and peruse Google and just look for paranormal words and paranormal things. And so this thing popped up. So it's corny, the Irish ghost. And I thought, well, that sounds like fun.

That's why I put it on the list. People, please send your suggestions. Please, please, please send your suggestions. And by the way, nothing with a bridge and an animal.

OK, but anything else we're good. Yeah, we've kind of overdone bridges and animals. And if you don't know what we're talking about, you need to become a Patreon and listen to our bonus episodes to find out more about that. It's the coolest house.

So there you go. Our bonus episodes are way fun and you're missing out if you're not hearing this. Patreon.com, advanced paranormal. So I wrote this down.

And when I made our agenda for the Winter Podcast, I didn't go through and make sure there was ample stuff to talk about. So when I started researching corny, the Irish ghost to talk about it on the podcast, there is literally, like, I found two pages. And then there's a million podcasts. There's a couple other people that have podcasts of the same thing.

But literally, I found two websites and they didn't have very much. But it's a still, it's the same problem that what's his name had when he made the movie The Hobbit, right? You know, how to turn a 60 page book into three hours of movies. The Hobbit.

Yeah, the Hobbit. The Hobbit's like long. The Hobbit's long. The Hobbit, no, the Hobbit is not long.

The Hobbit is a very short and small. Lord of the Rings is long. That's a trilogy. But The Hobbit is short and Jackson still got freaking six hours of movie out of it.

And that's one I never read because I'd already seen them in a way. No, because when I tried to read it, I was in high school, but I'd already read like a bunch of epic fantasy travel. It's when I tried reading Hobart, I was like, I just can't do anymore. No, The Hobbit was actually would be classed today as a juvenile novel.

So you were probably way ahead of it at the time. Yeah, I had just overwhelmed myself with epic journey fantasy stuff. So I just couldn't do it. And then I never got back into it.

So. Anyhow, so we're going to start up with Corne the Irish Ghost, even though there's not a ton of information about it. It's still very interesting. I had written down on our agenda that it was Corne the Irish Ghost.

But when you type it in, it comes up as Corne the Irish Poltergeist or Corne the Dublin Poltergeist. So before we jump into Corne's story, I kind of want to reiterate a little bit about Poltergeist. I know we've done an episode on Poltergeist, but if this is your first time listening, we're just going to do kind of a quick little recap of what Poltergeists are. Corne, they believe, is the spirit of someone who's passed away.

And so in my mind, that is not a Poltergeist. And if you know anything about me, the Poltergeist, in my opinion, a lot of people think it's a noisy ghost. And I think a lot of people believe that. But I believe that Poltergeists are a different school of thought, which would be an actual living person, most likely an adolescent and even more likely a female adolescent who's under a lot of stress.

And that comes out as kind of. Why do you think it's predominantly female? Because they have more emotions at that age. Because have you ever been around a teenage girl?

Well, yes, I raised one. But I have five boys. I was a teenage boy. I had a lot of emotions myself at the time.

OK, so let me tell you, as the mother of seven children, I had five boys first and then two. OK, OK, you win. You win. So the five boys, what would happen?

They would get an argument. A scuffle would happen. Someone would bleed. It was over in 10 minutes.

Girls, there's no bleeding. But the angst lingers forever. Oh, OK. It doesn't go away.

That makes sense. That makes sense. Now I just think girls just in general, and I realize that people are going to be listening to me. No, I get that.

But just I think in general, just a hormonal girl is probably a lot easier target than a normal woman. Are you suggesting that it affects females deeper than it does males, and males are just able to blow it off quicker? Yeah, I think guys really get mad. They punch a wall.

They hurt their hand. They hold on the wall. They fix the wall. It's over.

But I think girls just angst onto it, and hang onto it, and overthink it. Well, that's interesting. And that's just my theory. I mean, it's not your theory.

I've heard that before. And I'm glad you said it. That's all I'm saying. I'm glad you said it.

But anyway, going back to the poltergeist, in my opinion, poltergeists are actual manifestation of stress within someone that they're manifesting that they're unaware of. So keep that in mind as we talk about that point. Do you think that is from somebody living a living person in the household? Oftentimes.

Yes, I really do. So they're actually manifesting this from wow, that's amazing. Yes, it's like a telekinesis. But they're not thinking about doing it.

It just happens. Yes. It's like it's not even a ghost hunting problem. It's a psychological problem.

Right. Now that being said. But it's paranormal. It is paranormal.

That is paranormal. It is paranormal. Yeah, definitely. It's out of the realm of normal.

Of normal stuff. Many extreme science, exactly. Yeah. And one of the reasons that it kind of points to that is because they'll say, oh, we've got pictures falling off the wall.

Well, let's say it's a little girl that's being abused by her stepfather. The things that fall off the wall are always pictures of the stepfather or things that belong to the stepfather. There's patterns. There's patterns.

And so that's why people that think on that poltergeist vein of thinking believe that it's more the stress emanating from the person rather than. But whatever the cause, it's definitely telekinetic. Yes. Whether it's from a spirit or whether it's from a living person, something's gone.

It's not a physical input from this plane. It's from the other side. Yes. That being said, if we go back to corny, the Irish ghost or corny, the Dublin poltergeist, it is being called a poltergeist from the vein of noisy ghost.

Yeah. And if you look in the dictionary, you look things up, they will have that as a definition. Well, yeah, that's a literal noisy ghost. That's literal German translation, right?

Yes. Noisy ghost. OK. Right.

But as a paranormal investigator, we run across a lot of ghosts that are noisy. And I don't want to call every ghost a poltergeist. Oh, we hear knocks in response all the time. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. So I don't know. Every ghost would then be a poltergeist, because almost every ghost is noisy. And trying to get your attention and trying to do something.

Right. So I don't like the word poltergeist. But so we're going to call it corny the Irish ghost. So he's a corny ghost?

He's a corny ghost. So Ireland, it's got a lot of history. It's old, it's been there forever. Oh my gosh.

Oh my gosh. Yeah, it goes back to ancient times. Yeah. The Romans and the Vikings, Irish history is ancient.

Oh, yeah. I mean, we could have a podcast just about, we could be the supernatural Irish hour, because we could talk about Irish ghosts for days. We could do six months on just Ireland. Absolutely.

No one's really sure exactly what the address is. I went to date at a girl from Dublin. My family comes from Dublin. Cool.

So I'm Irish, English, and Scottish. My grandmother was a Wallace. So I am entitled to her brave hearts, family tart. Nice.

Cool. But that's Scottish. But yeah, we digress. You know, we do.

Oh, boy, do we digress. I know, right. The interesting thing about this ghost, though, is he actually speaks to the inhabitants of the house. He does.

And he has, he's pretty particular as to. Oh, he talks to. Who he talks to and what he expects in certain areas of the house. Oh, yeah.

Not very many people have seen him. To our knowledge, only two have seen him. The first person that saw him actually died of fright, according to the stories. And the second person that saw him was a seven-year-old boy.

And this boy said that it was a naked man with a curl on his forehead. And what the little boy said, and this is a quote, that he had skin like a clothes horse. A clothes horse? A clothes horse, which means pale.

And so I looked up what a clothes horse is. You can't get any more pale skin than an Irish person. OK, so I buy that. I buy that.

And a clothes horse is, I'm sure you've seen him. It's just a rack that you would dry your clothes on in the house, because it's too cold or wet outside. So he was not referring to someone, like we call a clothes horse, somebody who just loves the latest fashion and loves to buy clothes and wear stylish stuff. So a clothes horse is actually a physical armature, something that you would hang clothes on.

Right. Because if you're washing your clothes and you don't have a dryer and it's raining outside, it's going to be zero good to hang your clothing outside to dry. So in Ireland, it rains a lot. So it was just a rack thing that you just would lay your clothes on.

And I'm assuming that's made out of wood. It's pretty pale. Right. I'm making some assumptions here.

But I mean, there's dark wood. I play bagpipes. It's an African black wood. It's literally black wood.

But I'm assuming in Ireland, it's probably a lot of pines and oaks. Well, you know, remember, to the instrument makers, it's selected the best materials over the years. So it might have gone out of country to pick those materials for the instrument. Oh, yeah.

Anyway, but it meant pale. So he's very pale. Corny is a prankster. But I mean, he wasn't cruel, but he was kind of a jerk at the same time.

Don't think of people considering him to be a former like butler or something or head of staff at this house. Yeah. It's probably a former servant. In fact, one place, it said a faithful elderly servant.

So he might have had some seniority among the staff. Yes. And so they figured that that kind of tied him to the building as opposed to being tied to a person or an object. That he was probably tied just to the building itself.

Sure. And he'd been done a year when the family that he worked for moved and when the new family moved in, that's when the activity kind of kicked up. A change. It's always a change that either remodeling or a different family or some kind of change seems to trigger paranormal activity.

Yep. And some people say that his name was Cornelius or something of that sort, which is why they call him Corny. But when and how they actually came up with his name, no one's really sure about that. But he is known to answer to the name.

So apparently he likes it. Good thing he wasn't named Horace. Right. Right.

That's so bad. Anyway, go on. Go on. Go on.

And he actually told them. He said this isn't my name, but he answers to it. So well, a lot of spirits do. We know that from experience.

You know, they'll tell us their actual name. Yeah. So I mean, we named Lucy, the demon princess, in the family tree she answers to it. She actually likes that name.

So when I say we, our group, one of the things that Corny does is there are servants who used to sleep in the kitchen. That's where it was the warmest. And so the servants would sleep by fire. And he would tease the servants.

And after they'd been teased for so long, they begged. They're like, please, please, you know, to the homeowners, please let us sleep in the attic. This ghost is tormenting us. We can't get any sleep.

You know, he's keeping us awake. So they're like, yeah, fine. You can go sleep in the attic even if it's colder. But after only one night, they chose to go back to the kitchen because he kept jumping out of a cupboard in the attic, shouting, ha ha, I am here before you.

I'm not confined to any one place in the house. So yeah, so I mean, he literally talks to them and not, we would call that a class AEDP. You know, it's not just, help me. I mean, it's, you know, very, very intelligent.

Distinct. Distinct, loud, easily heard voices, or voice. In full sentences. And I think that's hilarious.

So they're like, if he's gonna be harassing us anyway, we may as well be harassed down by the fire where it's warm instead of the attic. That kind of reminds me of P's, P's from Harry Potter. Absolutely. That's kind of what I think.

So he definitely had a sense of humor. Kind of warped. And the article said that the Irish is famous for warped sense of humor. I'm partially Irish.

So I definitely have a warped sense of humor. So I identified strongly with this. Oh, I have a dark sense of humor. I saw recently on TikTok or Facebook Rails, one of those little short video clips, animals and funny things that animals do.

And one of these animals was a dog. And the dog's owner, something happened to their foot. And so they had their foot in a boot. And so the owner's walking down the stairs very tentatively, you know, in this boot so that they didn't slip and fall.

And right behind him, the dog was coming down the stairs very gingerly, kind of, you know, it's like humans doing it. I should do it too. I thought it was hilarious. And well, Corne kind of does the same thing.

Someone in the household at one point was on crutches because they'd hurt their knee. And so... Oh, he likes to imitate this, right? Yeah.

So Corne would imitate this crutch sound. You know, people would be thinking, oh, you know, someone's so with a bad knee is up walking around. I need to go assist them. But someone's so would be asleep.

But people in the house would still hear, you know, these crutch sounds. But he got their foot up out of their chair and got them to go do something. And so he was like, he played a joke on it, right? Absolutely.

Yep. He also didn't like things being kept in the kitchen cupboards. And so anytime anybody put something in the cupboard, he would toss it out. So they were always having to put stuff back in the cupboards.

I imagine a lot of stuff got broken. But he did not like anything in the cupboards. Wow. One night, Corne announced to his family that he was going to have company.

And if the family wanted any water before they went to bed, they needed to get it before they went to bed. So, you know, back in that time, you know, you'd have a pitcher of water, you know, right, you know, in the stand by your bed if you needed to, you know, use your facilities or get a drink or shave in the morning, right? And so it doesn't really say what the family did. OK, before you go on any further, I have a joke about these times.

OK. OK. OK. Back in Victoria in England, you know what the difference between a rich girl and a poor girl was?

Oh, this is going to go very poorly. I can tell already. A rich girl had a canopy over the bed. A poor girl had a canopy under the bed.

LAUGHTER Anyway, anyway, go on. Oh, that's terrible. So I don't know if they got their water or not. I don't know if they were prepared.

But I hope they were, because they said that the next morning, the water in the tank was city black, and there were city handprints all over the bread and butter. So city? Interesting. So city like fireplace.

Black dust. Yeah, right. Like from a fireplace. OK.

So I thought that was interesting. So obviously, with all these things going on, with the staff terrified and wanting to sleep at another house or another part of the house, and the water being sooty, and their food being all sooty with Mr. Handprints, at some point, the family called a priest and said, you got to come and exercise this. You got to come get rid of this ghost.

It's freaking us out. But when the priest got there, Corny was silent. Didn't say word. Of course.

I know. He's like, I don't want to leave. If the priest in the series doesn't make me leave. Oh, then it happens a thousand times until you want to show somebody.

Mom, come and look. And then it never works. Oh, no, like kids. Like your little kids.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, it never works until you want to. It works great. A million times until you show somebody.

And then it just all goes to heck. You got to hear what my two-year-old can say. And then you're like, say it to your old, and the two-year-old's like, nope. Yeah.

How can we do it? Oh, but I'm an idiot. All right. And you know that we did it when we were little.

Our parents tried to do the same thing. Of course. So the priest comes. He tries to, the family's trying to get Corny to talk.

The priest is trying to figure things out. So he finally leaves. And after the priest leaves, Corny comes out. And he's like, hey.

And they said, OK, Corny. You know, we had this priest come. Why didn't you say anything? Why didn't you say hello to him?

Why don't you talk to him? And his answer was, I could not speak while that good man was in the house. Wow. OK.

Which kind of makes me wonder. We've already talked about that I don't like the term poltergeist, you know, especially the story of this. And I wonder if it was a type three. I can speak while that good man was in the house.

I mean, a three can't talk while there's a priest in the house. On the other hand, maybe he was just a human spirit. And he just felt guilty. And you know, and he didn't want to speak when a man in the cloth was in the house.

See, this would be a fun investigation to go to and speak to the spirit and see if we could get some answers on that. Especially considering there was sit in the water and all that. Because if it was a type three, Drake would know. Yeah, I would know immediately.

We would all know because there's Drake over the corner yelling, helping us a type three, another one. They're everywhere. You know, over time, and we're talking about this, and there's not a lot of stories to relate, in some sense, that happen other than what we've talked about. But apparently he made life for the family just so, so intolerable as the word they used.

I was trying to think of another word that they decided that they needed to sell the house and move. But every time people would come to look at the house, Corny would drive them away. And so, you know, he would just sabotage every attempt that this family made at trying to sell this house so they could move somewhere that could be new. He probably knew that a new owner would mean renovation.

Or maybe they would put up with him or whatever. But the lady of the house at the time, and again, we don't know her name, was the only person that Corny genuinely seemed to have any respect for, and he would listen to her to a certain extent. And I'm saying a certain extent, not because of anything that I researched, but I figure if he was causing so much torment that they felt they need to leave, he's not necessarily obeying her. But he did have some respect for her.

I wonder if also it was because of, because he was a servant, and that too, the servant's attitude was the lady of the house. Yeah, very possible. That's a good point. Very possible.

Yeah, because the women kind of ruled the roost as far as the house- Oh, they still do. Don't get me. Don't tell me they still rule the roost. Yes, but we don't exactly have a staff.

Yeah, they do. Trust me. Well, I- A staff of one. Yeah.

My staff of children do not obey me. Yeah. They would be doing a lot more cleaning if I actually ruled the roost. After she talked with him for a while.

Cleaning. What does that mean? Cleaning? Yeah.

What does that mean? Yeah. I'm just ignoring that. So she just had a real heavy night one night and she just pleaded with him.

She says, please, corny, please, you know, for the love of all that's holy, let us move. And so he agreed. And he said, you will be all right now. And this is actually a direct quote.

corny said, you will be all right now for I see a lady in black coming up to this house and she will buy it. And so the lady of the house was so relieved. She thought, yes, corny is, you know, apparently, you know, has a good feeling about this lady in black. We'll sell the house to her.

We will move. So short off, within an hour, there was a wealthy widow that visited and she bought the house. Just kind of then and there. And so the family that was living there that was just tortured, you know, by corny, it was able to move.

What do we know about this lady in black? We know nothing about her. Nothing. Wow.

It says, presumably, she wasn't a big fan of corny because the house was soon listed as vacant again after she lived there for a while. Wow. OK. He drove her out.

That's what I'm guessing. He said, OK, I've controlled this one. You guys are giving me crap. But this one I can control.

And he drove her out. It seems that he, you know, we talked about the city, the city bread and the city water. Right. Apparently, even though he wasn't confined to one part of the house, he did like to hang out in the coal cellar most of the time.

He had his favorite places. Yeah. Didn't I read once that the people, the kitchen staff, that were sleeping in the kitchen and who had been aware of him and his taunting, they actually fled to the attic. And once in the attic, they were, he actually told them, ha ha, I beat you here.

I'm everywhere in this house. Is my thinking of the same ghost? I think so. Yeah.

I think that's when you talked about it a little earlier. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

They can't run away from him. Wow. That's amazing. So there was one little place that said, at one point, he told them that he had been a bad man that had died of bad death and could not tell where he was.

Metaphysically speaking, because God would get angry. So you almost wonder if he did something, you know, died of bad death. Was he hung? Was he drawn and quartered?

I mean, that was like, he's avoiding his judgment. That makes me think type three, too. Yeah. Type three or a type two?

Yeah, that was manufactured and stuff. So anyway, that is Corning, the Irish ghost. I'm not going to call him the poltergeist. Every time I think of him, I think of Corning, I hear Corning here at Beef and Cabbage.

You know, we had Corning Beef and Cabbage yesterday for dinner. There's that's Irish food. That's the cabbage. That's the cabbage.

Well, I went down to the freezer to get out and I thought it was a roast. And when I got it upstairs, it was Corning Beef. That's OK. That was good.

I had left it for lunch today. Yep. Nobody didn't show up for dinner, I'm sure. Everybody came.

Everybody ate. Yeah, I'd love Corning Beef. That's OK. We didn't mix vegetables.
