Corona 2nd wave - Special Interview with Psychiatrist Dr. J. Periyar Lenin

       Being locked down in our homes for days with very little social interaction with our friends and relatives often causes mental stress and anxiety. Dr. J. Periyar Lenin, Psychiatrist and Coordinator for the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) joins us in this interview to talk about how this stress and fear creates complications and what we can do about them. Incidents of domestic abuse have been on the rise, as they were last year during the first lockdown. People are skeptical to visit doctors or clinics even if they have symptoms of the Corona virus, they feel that they are demanded to take too many unnecessary tests and scans and have negative opinions on the methods of medical experts. Dr. J. Periyar Lenin addresses these topics in this interview to create a better understanding of the situation.
