Catherine Foerster is not the first girls athletic director in the La Vernia Independent School District, as stated in “LVISD names first-ever girls athletic director,” May 27. Richard Hinojosa was the district’s first girls athletic director, serving in that capacity for several years until 2018, when the role was again combined into a single athletic director for the boys and girls athletics.
