Coss the Boss: with Coss Marte

This week, we are thrilled to welcome Coss Marte to the show! Coss Marte is an entrepreneur from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. By the age of 19, he was running a multi-million dollar drug dealing operation, which eventually led to his incarceration.While in prison, he experienced a pivotal moment when doctors warned him about his poor health. Determined to change his life, he developed a fitness routine using only his body weight and the confines of his cell. He lost 70 pounds in six months and helped 20 other inmates improve their fitness.Upon his release, Coss founded Conbody, a prison-style boot camp fitness program that employs more than 50 formerly incarcerated individuals. He is now running Conbud, a cannabis dispensary that provides opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals and creates an educational space highlighting the impact of the war on drugs on communities of color.Follow Coss and his ventures:@cossmarte@conbody@conbud
