Cougars Stadium Reborn for Soccer Season | Calgary News

Cougars Stadium just got a major upgrade — fresh artificial turf, new benches, a giant scoreboard, and branded fencing — all thanks to a $2 million investment from MRU, boosters, and Calgary Parks. The official kickoff is September 11, with a ribbon-cutting at 6:45 PM before the men’s team faces the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Celebrate last year’s Canada West title, enjoy food and drinks, and grab a free pennant if you’re among the first 200 fans. The new field cuts maintenance costs, allows year-round training, and opens up booking for other Calgary soccer groups — plus, admission fees this fall help keep it running: $10 general, $8 seniors/alumni, $5 for teens, free for students, staff, and kids under 7.
