In June 1992, John Lee Cunningham robbed a local Surplus Office Supply warehouse in Vineyard, California. In the course of the robbery, he shot and murdered three employees before he set fire to the establishment and fled the area. He was later apprehended in Deadwood, South Dakota and readily admitted to what he had done and even re-enacted the crime for the authorities.
