Reflects on the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and the ethical questions it raises, using the "Crichton model" of unchecked technological progress as a framework. It argues that while we possess the capability to create complex AI, we often fail to adequately consider whether we should do so, emphasizing the importance of prudence – "right reason applied to action" – as a necessary guide for technological development.
