Council Claims "Consensus" Among Stakeholders On How To Progress Housing
from Clare FM · host Clare FM
Clare County Council claims there's "consensus" among stakeholders in this county on how housing delivery can be progressed. The local authority held a Housing Summit in late May with other 70 stakeholders including developers, financial institutions, elected members, agents, utility providers and approved housing bodies. Attendees of the meeting spoke of infrastructure constraints such as wastewater treatment, electricity connection delays, ineffective investment and the need for stronger public sector leadership. Clare County Council Senior Executive Officer with responsibility for Housing Activation and Delivery, Sinéad O'Donoghue gave a presentation on the event at this week's meeting of the Social Development Strategic Policy Committee. Clare FM's Seán Lyons was at the meeting and spoke to the Senior Executive Officer about why the event was organised. Photo (c) Clare County Council
