Council consult on Heath pathway work

Petersfield Council's consultation to remediate the eroded Heath pathways over a few years, closes on 16 August. They have consulted with the Friends of the Heath, the Plump Duck and the Petersfield Society but want public views - positive and negative - on the £150,000 estimated plan which will take time to fully implement. Town Ranger Jacob Gibson talks to Mike Waddington about the consultation and getting the work done over a few years to minimise disruption and to secure funding. He also speaks about the algae growth - under control- and the curious behavior of the terrapins. He also reassures us that the Fairy Stump will not be affected! The plans are on line and at the Town Hall with public information events on 13 and 15 July.
