Police have identified the man charged with shooting a Monroeville police officer earlier this week. NewsRadio KDKA's Shelby Cassesse has details: 32-year-old Jamal Brooks is accused of firing multiple shots into the officer's police car, hitting the officer multiple times. Brooks was arrested that night, but the Big K Morning Show's Marty Griffin reports he did not cooperate with police following his arrest, making it difficult to identify him. He's facing numerous charges including attempted homicide and assault of a law enforcement officer.
