Counting Your Jellybeans in 2014

from The Sales Moment · host Pierce Marrs

If you are anything like me, you have thought about how time seems to be moving faster. It is possible you have had that discussion in the last few days, especially with the beginning of a New Year upon us. I saw a great video analogy of The Time You Have. The creator used jellybeans to represent every day of your life. They separated the individual pieces away from the total as they deducted days for sleeping, eating, working, commuting, TV etc… When he finished separating the jellybeans, there was a small pile that represents the time you have left. This small pile of jellybeans demands an answer to the question: What will you do with me? Will you spend this time worrying? Will you be frozen in indecision and let the time pass, or, will you choose to take this time to invest intentionally in something that matters? The jellybeans are yours to spend anyway you like. Author Robert D. Smith said it well in his book 20,000 Days and Counting: "Are you spending life merely reacting to events as they happen, or are you moving forward each day with a clear objective? When you form a clear plan for your life, every day becomes part of something bigger: the process. It's up to you, however, to determine who you are in the process of becoming". We all have the same 168 hours per week. Just like Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin and Leonardo da Vinci. How will you spend yours? If would you like to have a FREE autographed copy of 20,000 Days and Counting to kick start 2014, just comment on this blog and tell me how you plan to invest your time moving forward in the New Year. I look forward to hearing your responses and sending this book to the winner. Happy New Year! Pierce
