Country Today - August 25th

Country Today is making its way around Victoria to speak with farmers about the latest rainfall. First we'll head to the north east of the State, where some farmers are saying there's been a bit too much rain, with parts of Wangaratta flooding.  Now let's head to the Wimmera. Horsham could do with a couple of weeks of dry conditions, as growers in the Wimmera are right in the heart of their busy operational period, with disease on the move particularly in cereals. Not everyone has been quite as lucky with the recent downpour, with farmers in the Western District saying they're still waiting for that runoff. U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a 90-day tariff suspension on ground beef imports, aimed at lowering retail prices while giving domestic herds room to rebuild.
