Today we focus on the federal budget. Treasurer Jim Chalmers describes as the most important and ambitious in decades. So what does that look like for the regions? EQ Economics Managing Director, Warren Hogan. Whilst there wasn’t a big spend on agriculture family farmers will be greatly relieved to hear they haven’t lost the exemption for capital games tax. One agricultural sector is devastated by its omission from the Federal Budget. That’s the wine industry. Wine grape growers are going out backwards and they wanted govt assistance for an orderly transition.
