County denies Mantua-area rezoning request

The Box Elder County Commission denied a request Tuesday from Karen Jensen to rezone 96 acres in the Mantua area from MU-160 (multiple use-160 acres) to RR-5 (rural residential-5 acres), following a recommendation from the planning commission that identified existing roads as inadequate to support additional residential development and that the proposal would not represent the orderly development of the county.
