County renews lease for autonomous vehicle testing site

The Box Elder County Commission has renewed an agreement allowing a Cache Valley robotics company to test autonomous trucks on county property east of the fairgrounds, continuing a partnership that provides economic activity and added security at the site. Commissioners voted unanimously March 11 to approve an agreement with Autonomous Solutions Inc. renewing the company’s use of a county-owned parking lot east of the Box Elder County Fairgrounds as a testing site for driverless yard trucks.
