Couple in Conflict? Creative Cash Flow Cures

from Stand Up Scotland · host StandUpScotland © Thor Holt 2025

Join Married Couple, exuberant and Entrepreneurial Mother of 5, Zoe, and risk averse Accountant, Travis as they visit the HippiHut® to conquer their conflict around cash flowing business ideas. Apologies for some sound quality issues on Thor's Mic, he was mobile! FOLLOW UP NOTE FROM ZOE "Thor, your direct questions and business acuity were so helpful. It was just brilliant to have an outsider give voice to some very fuzzy notions and senses both Travis and I had.  We’re  really excited to see where your session leads us, as a couple and a family.Travis thought you were personable and charismatic, which allowed you to create a quick rapport. He was also impressed by how you kept the conversation moving so ideas could flow. The best thing for him was that you gave us a direction to go in at the end of the chat, which was to bring my creativity to an established business model and combine it with Travis’ skillset. We’re still “playfully” discussing various business  ideas of an evening.I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge you gave me to go out and pitch my  somewhat embryonic and vague cooking ideas to the mummy mafia / network of Tunbridge Wells and environs. Well, what a triumph that has been. I’ve now become a Family Cooking Consultant… of all things. I’ve got my first budget / batch cooking session booked for two weeks’ time and I’m preparing a combination cooking and homeopathic workshop with another chum. I’ve also had expressions of interest from the alternative health types around here, a few menopausal women, a couple of pregnant first time mums, Functional Medicine doctors needing support for their clients  as well as the middle class types we discussed who are feeling the pinch and need to budget. In terms of business model, it’s a twist on the ultimate First World service industry… the Declutterer. Needless to say, there are a few of those around here.I’ve also been able to pivot a personal food blog into a business website so all the online infrastructure is there - any chance you could please put the website into the HippiHut show notes? www.realliferealkitchen.com Thank you, thank you!  Needless to say I’ll spread the word on my email list etcAnd I have Travis to keep me on the straight and narrow.  Hurrah!God bless and thank you again. I will keep you posted on how things go.Zoë Willis"

They call it “running in slow motion,” and that pretty much sums up the vibe. This isn’t a marriage podcast (their union ranks a generous 5 out of 10, after all), but it is a refreshingly honest, smart, and funny take on relationships, ambition, and everyday chaos. From real talk to pop culture and unexpected interviews, it’s a joyride of relatable moments and laugh-out-loud observations. Explicit Some People Suck Podcast Kodie Croll & Hylton Davis the boys talk give their take and share what's been going on in their world that week, as far as the culinary world, comedy, MMA, wrestling, whiskey, growing up differently, stories, documentaries, reality TV shows and sports entertainment and everything in between, basically just two best friends being young and dumb and sharing life with you guys.
