Courageous Conversations - Jasmin Harpe, MD, MPH

from Medicine In Color · host Alicia M. Williams

This week's episode features a brilliant sister who courageously shared her residency experience in a widely publicized opEd on Medium.  Dr. Jasmin Marie Harpe was born on the East Coast, graduated from high school in California, and came back East for college. She has a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University, earned a master’s in public health at Yale, and attended Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. Dr. Harpe stayed at Weill Cornell Medicine to complete her residency at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She combined her passion for neurology, public health advocacy, and research during residency by exploring the relationship between fertility treatment and headaches and has continued investigating this topic during her fellowship. She is currently a Clinical Fellow in Headache Medicine for the 2021-2022 academic year, and is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
