Court Ruling Gives Old Players Extra Year | Georgia Bulldogs Football News

A major court ruling just upended college football rosters by granting high school seniors from the 2022 class an extra year of eligibility—pushing them into 2026–2027. This unexpected twist throws off coaching plans, frustrates NCAA leadership, and already has players from Indiana and North Carolina announcing returns. Even basketball stars are jumping in, like a former Vanderbilt player heading to Tennessee. Teams like Georgia are scrambling; Coach Kirby Smart admits he wasn’t prepared for this legal curveball. While some athletes may return, especially those still chasing pro dreams, their options are limited—only those already in the transfer portal can technically come back to their original schools. The NCAA is calling for new legislation to fix the chaos. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
