Cousin of NaZiyah Harris reacts to Jarvis Butts' death

Jarvis Butts, 43, has been confirmed dead by suicide according to the Michigan Department of Corrections on March 26. He was sentenced just two weeks ago for secod degree murder, and 5 counts of criminal sexual conduct. He admitted to killing 13-year-old Na'Ziyah Harris back in 2024, and having a sexual relationship with Harris for years. He also admitted to assaulting five other children between ages 4 and 13, one of them an 8-year-old relative. Butts was dating Harris' aunt at the time of the assaults.
