"Us" Recorded in 1997, "US" looks at the love affair between Bay Area artist Bazil Dean and his life partner Craig Smith. Being one of the 1st to be diagnosed with HIV in the early 80’s, "Us" also speaks to how their relationship adapted to the unique challenges of living with an indiscriminating disease. "Us" is a love letter. It is a sonnet- an ode, a dirge- a celebration. In this time of cruelty and fear perhaps the only true HOPE is in "Us".
