Gloria J. Browne-Marshall is a professor of constitutional law at John Jay College (CUNY), an award-winning writer, a playwright, and a legal commentator. She has litigated cases for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and Community Legal Services. Her previous works include She Took Justice: The Black Woman, Law, and Power and The Voting Rights War.
